Diaries of a Greens Keeper: The End of an Era

For those of you who don't sit at home following my turf grass maintenance career step by step. My employment at Falcon Ridge has come to an end. No No I wasn't laid off or fired. Ya see, as an assistant superintendent my ambition is to some day become a superintendent. In order to do that, it is beneficial to gain experience at different golf courses, usually one spends 3 to 5 years at a course before moving to the next one. The new course I'll be calling home is called The Chase at Coyote Springs. More commonly referred to as Coyote Springs. It's an amazing course located in the middle of the desert between Mesquite and Vegas. I'd give you more details about the location but it's really hard to explain, and I'm sure you'll sleep just fine not knowing the exact coordinants. But for all you die hard Falcon Ridge fans here are a few last glimps' of "the Falcon."

Those last few pictures where the rough is yellow are the most recent. When we overseeded this fall we didn't do the rough leaving the bermuda grass to go dormant. If you really want to know why you can ask me some other time. It would take too long to explain. Well my friends stay tuned to more stories from Coyote Springs.
