For the past two weeks, I have been involved in doing the Mesquite Ultimate Weight loss Challenge. I am determined to lose weight and be healthy for the final weigh in on April 1st. A club that Paul and I have recently joined has been hosting classes and fun events such as the 5k this morning. I have never, ever run a 5k before. Ok, so I know that a 5k is only three miles but to me it seemed like a marathon. I am proud to say that I came in at 40 minutes which calculates to about a 13 minute mile. Maybe, just maybe sometime in my life I will actually run a marathon but for now I am proud to say that I have run a 5k.
St. George Marathon that I hope to run some day!)

Kaytie! So I just came across your blog and am proud of you for running a 5K! Great job! I love to run. The only problem is that I can't now because of some hip joint problems. Anyway, if I could run I would want to run with you! Running is the best! Watch out-it's very addicting!!
Kaytie we're so proud of you! :) Doesn't it feel great to finish a race? ...not that I've ran one in a REALLY long time, but still.
p.s. You DON'T need to lose weight.
nice going Kaytie!! That is so awesome, I bet you will be ready for a marathon in no time!
Congrats! Running is a lot of work! I am trying to run a 10k and then a half marathon this year! Good luck with running!
