Camp Out in November

We were able to go on our first camping trip since being married this weekend. This was our second time to the Vally of Fire. Our first visit was during the summer it was miserable, way too hot to be hiking in and we also forgot to bring a lot of water. This little camping trip was a blast.Candise, Jarom and Eliza Jane spent the morning with us.Eliza Jane was so cute playing in the sand and climbing on the rocks. She was such a little trooper even though she wasn't feeling well. We found some pretty fun things when we hiked into some of the different rock formations. Paul had a great time playing around and acting like a child. We spent the night in the park. We roasted hot dogs and had smores. Paul and I had so much fun that we decided we should go camping more often. Note: we didn't get any sleep at all during the night. It was so windy that we would be slapped in the face with the sides of the tent every time a big gust of wind come up. At one point Paul thought the tent had actually fallen over, but to his great surprise our tent held up like a champ. We ended up packing up and leaving by 6:30 a.m. so we could get some sleep before church.

I remember when we used to go places like that as a kid. It looks like you had fun! I can see it's going to have to be a calendar page, I hope you got lots of pictures!.... Tadd & I have yet to take our first camping trip as a married couple, and we're going on 11 years. I think it's safe to say it isn't going to happen.
